Week 3, Hands on Project

This week i was learning What's creativity?
It's when you are using your imagination to create something. However if you couldn't think of anything, then it would be easier to get some inspiration from internet or books to get your head some kicks started.

Who can be creativity?
Anyone can be creativity but not everyone is good at that. Most group of people who would likely to use their creativity on their work is children, art student, designer, art teacher etc. anything that involved around creativity.

What kind of environment can you be creativity?
Outdoors or Indoors, natural, landscape, art classroom, art studio, art galley, museum etc. I would personally looks out of window, trying to clear my head and

What can affect your creativity?
Environment and emotions. Reason is because if you were trying to focus but the environment you were working on is noisy and mess, it may affect your thinking but i think emotions can be very affected more than environment, because if your emotions is down and you were trying to create something cheerful, then that may affect your design.

Can creativity be measured?
You can company to other people so you can improve your skills. But I personally think you can't measured it because everyone have different ideas and their own unique styles.

Workshop: 3D Woodwork.
In this lesson we were learning how to make hands model out of the white cardboard by using shape-scape techniques. The materials that we were been giving was  Cutting matt, scalpel, craft knife and puncher.

However, i didn't know much about what to do because i wasn't in the class during that day. But i already knew the simple basic because i used to do this in high school before so it's easy to plan out. The first thing that i did was drawing out where i want the hand to be like and then draw the slot where i wanting each piece to connected with eachother.  After i done planning out the basic, i finally got it cut out but not everything went well as planned. Reason because some piece is smaller than other so i have to redo it again, even though it take a few times to do it but i got it right at end.

I really enjoy this workshop because it's help teaching me different techniques and what shape-scape is. Most importantly, it's also help me become more independence because after one of the tutor explain the basic example but after that i have to do it on my own.

Safety in this workshop.
Use sufficiently sized cutting mats or boards (Not desk tops)
For straight lines use safety ruler( Bot flat steel ruler)
All equipment should be in good condition - Shape blade and a strong handle.
When using knife, making sure don't cut towards your body or hands.
